Foundations… I’m going to be honest, I never really used to wear foundation and lord knows, I never applied it correctly. Remember the good ole’ days girls, when we would just put a bunch on our hands and rub it in!! (AHHH the thought actually gives me chills now). So here is my first “Makeup Bag Must Have”, a good foundation brush. Go for something short and dense. You should also go for something synthetic. Natural haired brushes tend to steal your product. I use the Real Technique buffing brush. Now onto foundations, I prefer my skin to have a dewy finish. My favorite is L’Oreal True Match Lumi. It gives a medium coverage and your skin a nice glow. Another option that I like to use is L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow. If you were looking for a more of a matte finish, I would recommend the L’Oreal original True Match. The next tool in your bag is really a Holy Grail item for me. A beauty sponge. It has so many purposes. I use mine to apply my concealer. A little tip. You should apply your concealer on top of your foundation. Just apply to wherever you little heart desirers .Dampen your beauty sponge and start to blend. This is very important, just bounce your beauty blender up and down to blend. Do not drag along your face or you will ruin your foundation. My favorite concealer is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. Other make-up bag essentials are a good bronzer and a setting powder. I’m currently using Butter Bronzer by Physicians Formula. It smells like you walked right out onto the beach and it applies very easily. For setting powered I love Revlon Photo ready setting powder. Also, pick your self up a good blush and a highlighter. Highlighters have changed my life.. It’s that drastic people! I have never had so many compliments on my skin since I started using a good highlighter. I’m ride or die for the Jaclyn Hill Becca Champagne pop collection. For a brush must have. Get yourself a good blending brush. You will never apply eye shadow the same again! I just picked one up at Ulta and it works great! Last but not least, mascara. My current favorite is L’Oreal Voluminous. So there you have it loves. These are some items that I think should never leave your makeup bag! If you have any suggestions for me comment below or hashtag #lauraslatestthing on Instagram!
Happy New Year!
