Blogmas Day 7! ( Simple Holiday Decor.)

IMG_1440

Hello Darlings. Back with my latest thing. This month is flying by! Today i am going to be sharing with you a very simple way to decorate for the holidays. This time of year fresh cranberries and oranges are all over the place! so i figured why not make them into a fun decoration.

Drying oranges is super easy to do and extremely versatile when it comes to decorating. Now I will tell you upfront this is time consuming but is very simple. All you have to do is cut the oranges into about half-inch slices and pat them dry with a towel. Heat your oven to 200 degrees fahrenhiet. You want to dry these in the oven for a minimum of 2 hours and up to 6. This is very important… do not turn up your oven tempature trying to speed up the process. You are not wanting to bake them. You are drying them! This Once you are done drying them you can really place them anywhere. This process also makes your home smell amazing! ( little added bounus)

Today i used mine in a vase as a center piece, but you can use yours in a lot of different ways.  I love the combo of cranberries and oranges. It screams christmas to me.  The best part about drying oranges is you can use them in many different ways. Place them in a center piece like i have or use them wrapped in garland around your home.
