Hello darlings! Back with my latest thing! Today I had my annual Christmas party with my fathers side of the family! I look forward to this every year! I always try to make something fun and festive to bring to the party! So today I am going to be sharing a holiday treat that is so easy to make anyone can do it! This is also something great to do with children if you have any! You will want to take these to every gathering!
For the party today I made doughnut reindeer!!!! These are adorable and super simple to make!!! Here is a list of everything you need.
1 bag of powdered doughnuts.
1 bag of melting chocolate wafers. I Ghirardelli melting wafers.
1 plastic bag
1 package of candy eyeballs!
The first thing I did was make the antlers! All you have to do is melt the chocolate into a plastic Ziploc bag or into a pastry bag. Then cut a very very small hole at the tip and pipe the antlers onto a piece of parchment paper. Let them sit to dry. Only takes about 5 minutes.
Then take the rest of your chocolate and melt it down. Then take your doughnuts and dip them into the chocolate. Place the candy eyes on the doughnut before the chocolate dries. Then place your red M&M in the center hole of the doughnut. Let the doughnuts sit for about 5 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
The last thing you are going to do is place your chocolate antlers. This next step is very important. You are going to want to take a small sharp knife and cut to slits into the top of the doughnut where you want to place the antlers. This will allow you easily place the antlers on the doughnuts. If you do not cut the slits and try to force them down into the doughnut you will break the antlers. They are very delicate so you want to make sure you take the time to do this that.
That is all you have to do. It is that simple!!! And look how cute they turn out!!!
I hope you guys enjoyed this and are enjoying some fun times with your family!!!
Don’t forget to follow before you leave!
Until my next latest thing-Laura
